Spring Softball
Spring is our primary season, offering a structured and more competitive recreational experience for players of all skill levels.
Players typically return to their teams within the same division, creating continuity and supporting team development from year to year.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The spring season includes:
- Regular practices and 8-10 scheduled games
- A focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship
This season is designed to provide a positive and supportive environment while allowing players to grow and compete.
TEAM FORMATION
Teams are formed through a draft process to ensure balance across each division.
Returning players in the spring typically remain with their teams if they are in the same division. If you do not wish to return to your previous team, this can be noted during registration.
SEASON TIMELINE
- Practices typically begin in February
- Games begin in March
- The season is intended to conclude the weekend before Memorial Day (weather permitting)
Schedules may vary based on weather and field availability.
UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT
- Jersey tops are provided by the league
- Players must provide a glove and cleats (metal cleats are not allowed)
- Additional equipment such as bats, helmets, and fielder’s masks is recommended
Coaches will communicate final uniform details, and players are responsible for team-designated items such as pants, socks, and accessories.
COACHES & VOLUNTEERS
SGSL is a volunteer-led league. Coaches and team volunteers play a key role in creating a positive experience for players.
If you are interested in coaching or assisting, please sign up during registration or contact us for more information.
SPONSORSHIP
Each team is supported by a sponsor. Sponsorships help offset league costs and support equipment, uniforms, and field needs.
Sponsors are featured on team jerseys and recognized by the league.
